RE: what's your favorite camping dinner??

Bubba Burgers and corn on the cob. Beer is a great side dish as well.

RE: Toneau cover shrunk ??

They are a pain when the weather gets cold. I have the flip style and it has handles that lock under the inside of the bed rails. Best 400 bucks I have spent. Junk the snaps and buy something else.

RE: What to do when dog loses favorite human?

I feel your pain. My dad passed away last year and his parrot knew something was not right. He and my dad where best friends for 28 years. I couldn't find anyway to make the bird talk like when my dad was alive. Luckily my dads girlfriend took him. He liked her so I felt good knowing he would be ok. Animals have feelings just like us.

RE: Harleys in garage

This is what I use for both of my street bikes. They make them for both sport and cruisers. No drilling in my RV.

Campground near I-85 in NC

We are traveling along the I-85 from GA to VA. Can anyone suggest a good campground with full hook ups, 50 amps and pet friendly for a weekend stop before arriving at our final destination in MD? We wanted to stop about half way, which would be in NC. Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: Maine

There is a little campground where I grew up in Oxbow. It's about 20 miles south of Ashland. Here is the website. http://www.mysticacrescampground.com/
We will be going next summer. Lots to see.

RE: 5th Wheel Insurance

State farm gave us a great rate. We have all of our vehicles/toys and house insured with them.

RE: Going to the scales tomorrow, whats the math??

The scales will give you front/rear and trailer axle weight and total weight. I used the CAT scales. Cost around 8 bucks. Just make sure you park correctly on the scales.

RE: My first beef with the dodge ram

Oops, I have not been greasing the joint. I have only been greasing the tie rod ends. Guess I will have to get to it. Glad you posted this. I have 20K on my truck and pretty sure the dealer has not done this ever as well.

RE: Towing OVER capacity..... too many doing this....

You might want to pull me over. I know that I am about 2K pounds over my max when I have either the golf cart or any other two toys in the garage. But, it handles nice and the only thing we ever worry about is some idiot on there cell phone yapping away or texting. That's who we need to really worry about. :)

Looking to do a short weekend getaway for the upcoming holiday. Has anyone stayed at the KOA in Calhoun recently? I see it has new owners. Thanks for any info.

RE: 2008 K-Z Sportster 33P fifth wheel

You will most definitely want a generator. The factory onan that we have works great. I can run two A/C units and anything else we need to. Make sure that you get all the options you want before you purchase. The fuel station is a must and the larger hot water heater. PM me if you have any other questions about KZ. We love ours. Read all the options if you haven't already at
http://www.kz-rv.com/sp_sportster/features.html Good luck.

RE: Power spray rubber roof?

The rubber roof cleaner works great. Like dehamblet stated, gentle scrubbing will take all the dirt off. Be careful on top, it can get slick.

RE: bad odor from plumbing

Buy a water filter. We always use them. Cost about 20 bucks and they last about 3 months.

RE: Dodge vs. GMC vs Ford 3500

It's like asking, what taste better, Big Mac, Whopper, or the Thickburger from Hardees? They all taste good, just some are easier to eat while towing a camper...LOL!

RE: Want to buy a Toy Hauler

We looked at pretty much all the different types before purchasing like jimtoo stated above. You will find different levels of quality as well as warranty lengths. After 6 months of looking, driving, and deciding what we really would like we settled on the KZ. Great unit with a great warranty dept. Good luck and happy shopping.

RE: Dodge 5.9 cummins verses 6.7 ??

I had both. I liked my 5.9, but with the new 6 speed tranny and exhaust brake, I don't miss my 2004.5 dually. Both are great, but for slowing the rv down, you can't beat the new 6.7. I had my computer re-flashed a few times. Turbo is good to go. As long as you get on it every now and then, you won't have soot problems. It's those who let the truck idle for many hours at a time.

RE: Dog with spondylosis (sp?) Question re: pain?

Don't have any info about spondylosis, but I was told that when a dog pants that might be a sign of pain if animal is not too warm or hot. Meaning, if your camper is 70 degrees, nice and cold but your dog is still panting, it could be in pain. We give our dog previcox when I think her knee is in pain. She had knee surgery about 3 years ago and I can tell when she is in pain. It is expensive medicine but it works...
